Boramy Viguier, creative director at Vuarnet, said about the store: "I imagined the store with the cozy interior of a mountain chalet or a wooden hut in mind, so that the customer can have the feeling of escaping from the city. I also love the rugged geology and natural textures of the mountains."

A MOUNTAIN SPIRIT

In response to Vuarnet's origins within ski apparel, Vuarnet created a scheme that references alpine landscapes and the comfort and nostalgia of the après ski experience. Handcrafted in France and known for their innovative design, the sunglasses are displayed on backlit glass shelves fitted into a dark timber display wall that runs the length of the store. The product is also displayed on two large stone tables with expressive forms and raw edgesreferencing mountain terrain. Along with the tables, custom display units were designed to present the sunglasses.

Tech mountain apparel and luxury garments hang on adjacent stainless steel rails finished with a debossed Vuarnet logo which is repeated on a bespoke hook designed for the fitting room.Vintage furniture pieces selected for the store's lounge area are a nod to founder Jean Vuarnet's renowned personal style.
